Our Story
Our story began when academia and industry came together in 2019. Our original focus was based on engaging SMEs to develop a baseline of good cyber security hygiene. We published several key scientific papers on this area and developed a specialism for cyber security within SMEs.
Since then our business has grown into much more. In 2021, we achieved Certification Body status linked with Cyber Essentials and worked on developing cyber security investment modelling tools with several academic cyber clusters. We also developed a specialism in ISO 27001 and grew our consultancy arm. Today, we now service customer's with collectively over 20,000 employees in just the UK alone.
We also took over the Cyber Advisory Services - a free to use service for any of our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) customers as a unique offering providing organisations dedicated online support having suffered a cyber attack or data breach. Bringing together partners in the legal and insurance sectors to ensure we are there in your time of need. It also brings together a knowledgebase of security best practices - all in alignment with National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) guidelines.
We have invested back into our roots with a new Research and Development Lancaster University office in 2022 and ensured that we practice what we preach as we have been awarded and certified against Cyber Essentials, IASME Gold and ISO 27001.
In April 2023, we agreed to join the UK-based Vault UK Group and take the lead on all security and compliance matters. We will be opening another university R&D office to work on specialisms in cyber recovery and resilience as we are also a trusted partner in the government-backed West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre.
What's next?
Well keep your eyes on the site as you will see this year a significant amount of new developments and new projects - all aiming to ensure we become UK leaders in transformative security solutions and services for SMEs and wider supply chains within the next 36 months.
